The consultant will go through your medical history and current symptoms. More often than not they will need to carry out some form of tests, which will of course be discussed with you on the day.
No, it’s not necessary to have an extra person with you. Should you wish, our staff are trained chaperones and would be happy to be present during your appointment.
Most consultations will last around 30 minutes. Tests or additional examinations may however take longer.
