How long do I get my table for?
Times vary due to party size and what time of day it is. We always allow ample time for your experience and will confirm with you how long you have your table for when you make your booking.

Do you run another pub?

When do you serve food?
Our kitchen serves food Monday to Thursday from Noon – 9pm. Friday and Saturday from 9:30 – 11am and Noon – 9pm. Sunday from 9:30 – 11am and Noon – 8:30pm.

Do we need to pre-order for our Christmas/New Year booking?
During the festive period all tables of 10 or over will need to pre-order. You will be sent out a pre-order form via email when you have had your booking confirmed.
What are your opening hours?
Our opening hours are as follows: PUB:Mon – Sun : 11am – 11pm KITCHEN:Mon – Sun : 12pm – 9pm
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! We love well-behaved four-legged friends who are kept on leads throughout the pub. We have plenty of water bowls and even have doggie ice cream! [NOTE: Dogs are allowed everywhere, including the restaurant and bar areas]
Can I bring my baby?
We have plentiful highchairs and baby-changing facilities here too. Please feel free to use the rear entrance if that helps with getting into the pub but please still let us know you’ve arrived.
Can I bring my children?
We love families at The Artichoke and ask that your children are always supervised and don’t run around the pub. There are lots of hot, sharp things around and we want to keep them safe. Little Arti-folk are welcome until 8pm, after that we are over 18’...
Is the restaurant suitable for special occasions or romantic dinners?
It most certainly is. Just mention this when booking and we will find you a suitable spot.
Can I order at the bar?
For as much as life usually revolves around the bar, please resist the temptation to pop to it, we’ll look after you at the table. We are running full table service throughout the pub and gardens for your relaxation and enjoyment.
How do I get into the pub?
All our guests’ journeys start at the front door. If you have a booking please let us know that you’ve arrived and if you’re thinking of just popping by please come to the reception area by the door and we will find you a table.
Is parking available?
There is a car park at the Artichoke for around 20 cars. If the car park is full, you can also park in the Croxley Guild Public car park opposite the pub. We ask that you park safely and considerately in Green Lane. Please think of others and always all...
Is there a dress code?
We are a family run public house that’s very relaxed. We do not have dress codes. We just ask our guests to be respectful of other guests and the premises.
How do I place an order for pickup/delivery?
We don’t offer pick-up or delivery at this moment in time, sorry.
Is outdoor seating available?
We have two gardens and run table service throughout the summer months. We also have a heated smoking area that’s undercover too.
How do you handle cross-contamination for food allergies?
Our food is prepared in areas where cross contamination may also occur. This means that we can never guarantee a dish is completely free from any allergens or specific ingredients. We declare allergens if they are intentionally added to a product. Where...

Can I speak with the chef about my dietary needs?
We are happy to pass on any questions that you may have about our menu to our chef. Talking with them directly may not be possible, but we are happy to answer any questions about your dietary needs.
Do you offer delivery or takeout services?
We don’t offer these services at this moment in time, but we do offer doggy bags for you to take away if you're unable to finish your meal in the pub!
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and all major debit and credit cards.

Are you open on holidays?
Yes, the only days of the year we close are on Christmas Day and for our teams Christmas and Summer Parties - dates for these are to be confirmed.
Is there a service charge or gratuity added to bills?
We do NOT add gratuities to our bills and we are proud to say that all tips given go to our teams with gratitude.
Is the restaurant family-friendly?
Very! We are proud to be local people and to have our own children in the local schools. We employ lots of great youngsters from the surrounding areas and love families.
