We created IRIS Practice Essentials last year as a bundle of Senta and Taxfiler, to offer a discounted rate for our existing customers - and a good introductory rate for new customers too. The plan was to develop a data synchronisation that allowed the sharing of data between the two systems.

We’ve been working on this, at the same time as developing IRIS Elements. As IRIS Elements is driven by one client list, the data synchronisation between the practice management module and the Tax & Accounts module offers a better integration that could ever be achieved between Senta and Taxfiler. It’s available to all new customers of IRIS Elements – and to existing users of Senta and Taxfiler.

We’ve subsequently taken the decision not to continue with the development of the sync between Senta and Taxfiler  - as this functionality is now available via IRIS Elements.

We’re advising customers who are using Senta and Taxfiler to wait to move until the migration tool is ready. We don’t have an exact date on this. Customers who bought IPE can choose to renew at the same rate. Speak to the renewals team.
