Could you explain how to measure for the close contact chaps? Is it the circumference just below the knee/hock?

Getting the correct size is VERY important with these chaps. If they are too big, they will slip down or allow mud to get under the chap, too small and stress will be exerted on the seams leading to splitting. There is a tab for a size guide on all our products pages.

Measure your horse’s legs at the mid point of the cannon bone ensuring you measure clear of the knee joint and the hock joint. The chaps should fit snugly like a second skin.
