We are sorry to say that currently we are not able to undertake liposuction surgery to treat lipodema. This is not a decision we like but we, quite rightly, adhere to NICE guidance for surgical procedures. NICE have recently recommended that liposuction for lipodema is only undertaken as part of a research project.

We are working with NICE regarding this, but it does mean that currently nowhere in the UK should be undertaking this surgery (unless there is an approved research project it is part of, of which we are unaware of any centres or surgeons who fulfil this remit).
