Before you write a Will, you need to work out what your estate consists of. Some of the assets which make up an estate are:

• Your home and any other property you own
• Money and savings in bank accounts
• Pension funds
• Any insurance policies
• Jewellery/other valuable or sentimental items

The final step in the planning stage is to decide who you want your executor(s) to be. This is the person who will be in charge of distributing your estate.
