All topics helped the students practise the four main skills needed for Language, reading, writing, speaking and listening. However, speaking and expressing opinions was the main focus of our classes. Topics included an introductory class, Music, Sports, Social Media, Scottish Culture and Slang, Travel, Celebrities and Wealth, Worldwide Traditions and Cultures, Advertising and entrepreneurship.

These classes included vocabulary games, discussions, debates, writing exercises, listening activities and creative projects. The two homework nights focused on presentation skills, one in person the next day and the other in a video format.

English covers a broad range of subjects from basic grammar construction to reading and writing comprehension, pronunciation, public speaking skills, and more abstract and creative subjects such as preparing presentations about hometowns, learning and conversing about each other, and thinking and practising how to ask questions and communicate in a non-native language.

Listening to music and watching movies/entertainment in English will be very helpful in overall practice which will increase his vocabulary and understanding of English.
