How do I access my room?


Your room will be accessed either using a fob or key.


How does the door lock deadbolt work?


There is a twist lock on the inside of the door. You can turn this to lock your door. In the event of an emergency if you push down on the handle the door will unlock. This cannot be done from outside.


How to my appliances work (microwave, hob, fridge, heater)?


Speak to a member of our staff and we can assist you if you are struggling to use a piece of equipment.


How do I keep my room clean? Do you offer a cleaning service?


Residents are responsible for keeping their room and flats clean.


What do I do with my rubbish/recycling?


Rubbish and recycling should be removed promptly to the bin store nearest to you room.


Am I allowed guests to stay?


Each resident is allowed one guest for up to 3 consecutive nights. They will need to be signed in. 


Am I allowed a pet?


No pets are allowed, sorry. 


Am I allowed to smoke in my room?


There is no smoking or vaping anywhere indoors. Please visit the smoking area in the courtyard next to your building.


What time should I avoid making noise?


You should always be considerate of other residents, please keep noise low between 10:30pm and 8:30am.


Do I have to pay Council Tax?


If you are in full time education you may be eligible for council tax exemption.


Do I need a TV Licence?


You will be required to purchase a licence if you are planning on watching live TV or BBC iPlayer. All the latest information on TV licences can be found at www.tvlicensing.co.uk.
