Information to help complete Household income form
- You’ll need to give details of your gross (before tax and NI) household income for the last full financial year
5 April 2020 - 6 April 2021 - You must provide matching evidence for each of the income categories you have declared.
The figure you declare must match the figure on the evidence you supply. - You only need to give details of income received by yourself and/or your spouse or partner/civil partner in the form, NOT everyone in your household.
- You don't need to give details of your parent's income, even if you've declared them as part of your household (in section 2)
You must complete all sections of the form - if you have no income in any particular category please type NIL in the box. - If your total income is NIL, you'll need to explain how you're supporting yourself (in the box on the form).
If a member of your family supported you during this period, please include a letter from them to confirm this and evidence (bank statements, for example) to show how this support was given to you. We won't be able to accept applications without verifiable evidence from a reputable source. - Remember to add up all the categories for you and (if applicable) your or your spouse or partner/civil partner's income to arrive at a total for each.
Self employment
- If you're unable to provide a confirmed figure for the last full financial year an estimate can be accepted if you're able to provide a confirmed figure for the financial year before, which is 5th April 2019 - 6th April 2020
- Estimates should have an 'E' written beside them on the form
