Your Household 

Consists of you and all the other adults who are 18 or over on the fist day of the academic year of your Access module. This includes, for example, spouce, civil partner, partner, adult son or daughter, parent, lodger or co-tenant. 

The first day of the academic year for your moudle is: 

October Start =  1st September 

February Start = 1st January 

May Start = 1st April 

You need to tell us about the people in your household, but when you apply for financial suppot based on your household income, we only take into account the income of you and or your spouce/partner or civil partner. 

For example, if you live with your parents or you have a lodger, their income does not count or contribute to your total household income.
